hello
09/14/2023
This year has been particularly difficult for the iOS app. No particular reason, just lots of small issues. Also the days of my iOS version may be limited. The downloads have not justified the time and effort to continue. I will go a couple of more years and re-evaluate. Please encourage your co-workers to look into getting the calendar

2023 calendar for iOS is available. Oddly, the android version is delayed until my software provider does an update and they dont have a definitive date for its availability. So, iPhone users are the lucky ones this year.
I still haven't been able to set a user default or open to the current month, but i am still trying. I am starting to think its not going to, but hey, miracles happen. I may have to get serious about learning to hand code, but I am getting too old to learn new tricks... so we'll see what happens

2022 ColorCal for iOS is up. Another year of frustration with Apple. Finally got it through perserverance.

Woohoo

ColorCal is finally up and available for iOS. What a long and arduous ordeal. I may try to document it one day after I do a bit of coding unwind.

Fingers Crossed

Finally I have the app finished and am awaiting approval from the app store. I had to fully rebuild the app from scratch to get it to the approval stage. Then there was the issue of screen shots and cryptic error messages from Apple about why it was rejected. But... I am now in the waiting stage of getting approval and lets hope for the best. Creating for iOS has been quite a learning experience.

Well...

After
six more attempts to give Apple developer money, using two different credit cards on two different computers, I finally had to place three support requests and call support (twice). Success! I got enrolled in the developer program. YAY?!!??

Any hoo... the app is written and being tested. I have found a glitch that I can't seem to solve. It involves using a link in the app to get to my web page, but since the iOS devices don't have "back" buttons you cannot retreat back to the app and need to force close and re-open. I may just disable the links in the iOS version and publish the app but I am not certain yet. Stay tuned

sorry iOS users.

I tried to subscribe to Apple's developer program but they rejected my payment (twice). So, until I figure out what the problem is with Apple enrollment that is keeping me from giving them my cash, the iOS version of the calendar will be on hold. Mind you it is all done and ready to publish but I cannot do that until Apple takes my money.
